Early departure for the Mae Klong market, the market on the railway line. Just before the station, a small part of the stalls are on the rails. Train ride on the “death railway” which runs along the River Kwai. Sukhothai preserves admirable monuments illustrating the beginnings of Thai architecture. The great civilization that developed in the kingdom is dependent on many influences and ancient local traditions, but the rapid assimilation of all these elements forged what is called the "Sukhothaï style". Departure for the ascent and visit of the beautiful temple of Doi Suthep, on the hill overlooking the city, you will reach it by 350 steps framed by giant porcelain snakes and dragons. The Prang, a Khmer-style tower 82 m high, was built during the first half of the 19th century by Rama II and Rama III. It has the particularity of being covered with Chinese ceramic tiles. (B-L).
